Quality Assurance
All our raw material and products are controlled by an internal quality program designed to oversee all operations and processes to ensure strict compliance with all customer requirements.
Core’s quality control and inspection system is in compliance with MIL-I-45208A. We maintain complete heat lot traceability on all in-house production orders and confirm that all customer requirements are met throughout the entire manufacturing process. All destructive and non-destructive testing is performed by independent A2LA and Nadcap accredited metallurgical labratories. Thread gaging is in compliance with ASME B1.3, covering both System 21 and System 22.
We offers complete certifications that can include dimensional product inspection, material melt chemistry, heat treatment, hardness, destructive testing, non-destructive testing, coating, self locking device, and other processes. Special product marking including heat lot code, serialization and custom logos are available upon request.
PRECISION SCREWS
All of our Hex Head, Socket Head, and 12-Point Flange Screws typically have a machined body, radius, and bearing surface performed after final heat treatment. The result is minimal T.I.R. under the head and throughout the entire body, as well as having a superior surface micro-finish. Length tolerances can be held up to ±0.0001”.
THREADING
Core can single point, roll, or chaser cut both unified inch and metric screw threads for UN, UNR, UNJ, M, and MJ per ASME-B1.1. All threads are available in series UNC, UN, UNF, and UNS. Special thread lengths and fully threaded, as well as left hand, are also available.
MATERIAL GRADES
Core fasteners are produced using Domestic and DFARS materials that are fully traceable to the original melting mill and applicable heat treatment lot. Our extensive bar stock inventory includes the following: Carbon, Alloy, 300/400/600 series Stainless, Monel, and Aluminum. Other available grades include: AQ Alloys, Forged Alloys, Nitronic, Inconel, Titanium, and Copper/Brass/Bronze Alloys. Our cold and hot headed blank inventory is carried in a wide variery of standard grades, and can be upgraded to custom and military requirements. Hex Head, Socket Head, and 12-Point Flange Screws are available in grades 5, A325, A449, B7, BC, 8, BD, A490, and A574. We also stock blank and finished Regular and Heavy Hex Nuts in grades A, B, C, D, 2, 2H, 2HM, 5, DH, 7, 7M, 8, and DH3. The material grades Core can procure are almost endless. We regularly work to most ASTM, SAE, ANSI, AASHTO, MIL, FF, and DIN fastener and material specifications, covering all our stocking and available grades.
CUSTOM FINISHES
Optional surface finishes include zinc, hot dipped or mechanical galv, black oxide, cadmium, zinc and manganese phosphate, IVD Aluminum, Electroless Nickel, Copper Flash, and other specialty coatings.
